Our colleagues at Pieris.Architects in collaboration with DpS Athens are launching a major exhibition celebrating 50 years of Pieris Architects. The exhibition opens on November 8 for the public and you can read more about it here: pierisarchitects.com/2ndnature/
We have had an ongoing collaboration with Pieris Architects for many years so on this occasion we proposed the creation of a separate category on their website dedicated to this exhibition. The idea was to gather all the necessary information to a single point that can be updated regularly while sponsors are added or the details need editing (as they did, many times!). Any visitor, media or people that are interested in the exhibition can find the latest and up to date information about it there. A short and descriptive url can be a useful tool for communicative purposes and after the exhibition is over if needed it can be used to host a webpage or microsite dedicated to it. All the media and online reputation that this link will gather will be inherited to any shape or form the exhibition content will have online.
A landing page may be relatively simple but its value as a meaningful promotion tool is substantial. As per the website and corporate identity, the exhibition design and co-curation is made by Dimitris Papazoglou of DpS Athens. We used the promo video clip and reference material for the landing page design. The page follows the norm of the Pieris.Architects website but the typography, color palette and structure are adapted to the exhibition graphics. We tried to organize the very long text in sections and also to accommodate the sponsor logos without them becoming a distraction for the pages’ main message.
The Pieris.Architects website since its launch of its current version on 2016 appears to be the same but the back end is almost unrecognizable. Since its launch we spend a lot of time with the people at Pieris.Architects and watching them how they interact with the website dashboard and the actual content they upload we proposed and developed tools and custom solutions in order to make the website maintenance as easy as possible.
